The Master Dies

To me, the Master has always been one of the great iconic villains. He ranks right up there with Darth Vader as one of the greatest villains of all time. And Anthony Ainley was the Master. He was the first one I saw as a child, and was the one I grew up with. I didn't see Roger Delgado until many years later, so Anthony Ainley's portrayal is always the first that comes to mind when I think of the Master.

He will be missed.

I, too, remember Ainley as the Master rather than Delgado, because Tom Baker was my first Doctor. Excellent actor, and a fine man, from reading the biography.

Yep, I remember him as THE Master as well.
