To continue the current psionic love /hate fest, the next Mind's Eye is now available for your remote viewing pleasure. Combat Mode Alterations : Basically, these are feats for psionic combat modes, except you can take them in the place of combat modes. They let you use your modes in new and better ways, and "patch" the combat system we all have grown to loathe. The Cerebral Assassin : A prestige class based on using psionic combat modes, and before you start LOL, consider this from Wotc_Mark: "This all gets real interesting when you have a Psi9/PW1/CA10. This would give you Psi (9) + PW (2) + CA (14) = 25 modes/alterations. Take Bonus Mode as a feat 3 times and you have all 28 modes/alterations to choose from. Sounds like alot of fun to me .. hehe.. lets see my party of 6 vs. a group of say 20 enemies all within 50 feet .. hehe Base Mode - Mind Blast (9) Alt - Area Alteration (Radius) (8) 30 foot radius Alt - Attack Alteration (14) DC+4 Alt - Hidden Alteration (1) Alt - Intensity Alteration (12) +3 (stat damage/rounds stunned) Alt - Range Alteration (12) +20 feet radius Alt - Target Alteration (6) exclude 5 friends Feat - Mental Adversary (3) +1 (stat damage/rounds stunned) Feat - Psychic Assault (23) DC+10 Feat - Quicken Mode (26) 114 total power points or 22 after the mastered buffer is applied. With a DC+14 and +3 to the stat damage/rounds of stun to the enemy. Because it's quickened it can be done a second time this round for (88/5) 17 additional power points. For 39 power points there is a prety darn good chance you would stun those opponents for 4-7 rounds. It's funny because in testing I did almost this exact thing, and 5 of the attackers made their first save. But only 1 made both. I killed him .. hehe. MJ"
