I have been considering converting the world of The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001). What I ask, fellow ENWorlders, is if you have seen or heard of anyone else who might have done something similar. If so, could you please point me in the right direction?

Haven't, but you should be able to do most of it with stock d20 Modern. The only things holding you back are era weapons/equipment and the magic items. Magic items will have to be made from scratch to suit your campaign, or altered/used unaltered from the main books.

Equipment's a bit trickier. The best stuff I've found for that period is in Call of Cthulu d20.

Alternately, you could use Spycraft quite easily - the cinematic play fits the high action and slightly-campy feel of pulp material. The Shadowforce Archer campaign setting has rules for relics that also fit the Indiana Jones/Mummy flavor (as well as relic hunters and explorers - and Nazis! - in the Hand of Glory threat book). Hope that helps.

(I say this only because I have considered the same thing for con demos :))

Yeah. There's really no reason you couldn't do it with D20 Modern. And with the new SRD, you can add in a few things from Urban Arcana that would make it a little easier.
One thing I think would make it a lot easier, though, is Blood and Relics... There's a lot of the occult in there, and a great Advanced Class for someone like Evy, and one for a Rick type character.

I have only seen the first movie, but I think it's pretty much much pure cinematic pulp. So if you want a d20 game, I guess there's Forbidden Kingdoms, and the pulp game in Polyhedron.

Aside from that, there's Adventure! (the original being a WW system game, but it'll come out as a d20 game this year), Two Fisted Tales, etc.
