D&D General The NPC writing session

Hey Enworlders! I just developed a great new idea that will move D&D forward!

How about once every ten (ish) or so sessions is spent completely on writing up NPCs/monsters? Like instead of the characters going to a dungeon or whatever, all the players spend the whole time writing up NPCs/monsters??? I think that would massively improve the game! People who want more realism/optimization/whatever out of NPCs/monsters can just create what ever they want to encounter for themselves!!!

No need to thank me, just give this post EXP. Have a nice day.

I don't think I'd burn a whole session on it - nobody likes "homework" forced on them, and I could see some players seeing it as that, especially taking away from their gaming time.

But I'd certainly be willing to reward players if between sessions they wrote up an NPC or monster that could later show up in the game. Even just a paragraph or two without stats would do, I could then flesh out the stats to what feels appropriate.
