The developers milked the aging PS2 for all it was worth and gave us a tremendous all around experience. The graphics, gameplay and audio of the game combined with smooth and forgiving control scheme were a near-perfect fit. If not for some late-game janky platforming elements the game would be perfect. The combat engine and smooth animations of Kratos were just flat-out fun. There was just enough story to draw me further into the experience. An overall smooth game visually and with the controls. Tons of customized options and a great career mode. The dunk mode needs a facelift and more of a challenge added to it but other than that there are many hours of fun either playing alone or against a pal.
