Amirad smiles and nods at Maurials comment. To Turthain he says, in a hushed but carrying voice, "Sometimes your so quiet I nearly forget your here." He turns and faces the only passage out of the chamber with the lift, "At this point there is only one straight course, to move forward and continue our quest laid out by the good Dolun Thrax. Despite our misgivings that this mine is not as he suggested." Amirad is referring to the opinion voiced by some that the wealthy Dwarf's 'mine' is not for diamonds and may instead be the attempted excavation of some sort of tomb. Amirad can't quite resist the urge to make a speech. "We were well met indeed in the Bouncing Beholder Tavern. Surprised I was to meet not only my cousin, Austin but so many honorable and like minded companions. The first level of this mine is clear of both foul rats, skeletons and the unfortunate corpse of Doldan of the Old School. Together, with the power of Solinar guiding my sword and Austin's mace," here he clasps his cousins shoulder warmly, "Sargeant Stubbs Silverhammer's steadfast resolve," he nods respectfully to the dwarf, "Zhantain's sharp eye and sharper blade," he clasps the the man's wrist in a warrior's grip, "the Lady Lidia's wisdom, courage and spells," here he gives the druidess, his former traveling companion a short but courteous bow, "and with our learned mages from the old school, Mauriales and Turthain spells and blades." He respectfully loweres his head to the two elves. "Together our company shall rid this mine of the foul taint of undead! This second upper level is but the second step on this just quest. Together my friends, we have fought with honor and I am pleased to be counted amoung your company. And now," here the Paladin draws his sword and lets it flash briefly in the lantern-light, "with Solinar's Blessing, shall we see what awaits?" Amirad turns dramatically to lead the way up the passage.
