Some halfing was trying to fast talk him and he decided to beat a confession out of him.Then his friend comes running down saying that his wife had been assaulted but she was okay. The Paladin beats a confession out of the halfing and determines that he had something to do with it. Then, he decides to break the halfing's neck.Where in here is he in any way shape or form protecing anyone?</blockquote>
