Wow I love soulknives, I'll field this one Wow... that is uhh strong. If you're planning to implement this in 3.5, it completely undermines the purpose of becoming a soulknife, you know, since you get (almost) all of the nifty abilities of a soulknife in half of the levels. If I were in your position, I would say first that they have to have the ability to cast bless and shape a soul blade, meaning that only a small portion of the paladins out there could advance in this class (those that had been Skns first). You could have Wild Talent and Mind Blade as prerequisites for similar reasons. Your pang of conscience is very unbalanced, giving your level three character the same ability (practically) as the regular Skn gets at 13th level, and it gets better. That's a problem becuase, not only could one of his better abilities, but you undermine the entire class when you give a prestige class one of his abilities, and a level 5 Pal/3 SketchySKN is a level eight with a level 13 skill. What I would do if I were you is say that it requires wild talent and shape mild blade, as the ability to cast level two Paladin spells. It gives at level one the ability to shape your mind blade into a great sword, take out shape mind blade since it belongs to the SKN as well as all of his other abilities. Imprint weapon bounces up the 2,4,6,8,10 train as their nice, unique skill, and push the other imbue smites up into the odds. I like imbue smite, but you should definitely say that a charge only lasts twenty four hours. Whirlwind of Justice is almost fair. It's nice that SKNs keep their kewlness on that one. However, I would change it to a different skill, because although it's nice. It might be nice if there was a slightly more unique ability in that slot, though. For instance, I could easily see a paladin who could get extra uses of turn/rebuke against any enemy he could hit with a thrown mindblade, allowing him to make a ranged attack against any opponent within thirty feet (doing no damage) but they use a turning attempt, and any enemy they hit is considered turned, and any enemy that they crit on is considered rebuked. Can you turn your levels of sketchy in for a dark, kewl like Beelzebub soulknife that can immediately remove someone's soul from their body when they hit them, or what? If a person has access to mind blade from SKN, would they still lose it if they lost their code of honor, and then would they get it back if they became blackguards?
