[QUOTE="Gundark, post: 1992600, member: 6148"] woo-hoo good read Anyhow here is my tale....it's a bit confusing but try to keep up Myself, my wife, sister in law , longtime friend and aquantace start a group. I DM things seem to be going good. Church friend joins group things are still good. Invite married couple (call them the Smiths), things still seem to be good. Longtime friend decides that he wants to have a try at DMing.....since I don't want to quit my game we work out a schedual for both games to continue (begining of the end). Well this opens the door to other people wanting to DM, mr. smith who was a long time 2nd ed. DM wants to try a Dragonlance (3rd ed.), says he's a story-telling DM (translation: storyline nazi). So there are 3 games going at once. Problem is Mr. Smith is boring......really...really boring. Thus we are railroaded and bored...but nobody wants to tell him and hurt his feelings, so we suffer. sister in law and mrs. smith become really good friends. sister in law is the kind of gamer that gets way attached to her characters. Mrs. Smith really really digs playing rpg's. Evenually Mr. Smith realizes that nodoby likes his game and gets offended quits playing, Mrs. Smith keeps on playing. Okay here's where it all hits the fan. Longtime friend has quite a different playing style than me and decides that it's suddenly a popularity competition between him and I. Starts putting me and my game down behind my back. I find out and we talk it over, longtime friend says sorry, however keeps doing it (which I still found out about). Longtime friend (who is married) develops crush on sister in law makes her the golden character in his game....annoys other players. Longtime friend decides to kill off sister in law's character cause all the other players can't stand her character. Sister in law gets really upset (because of the groups consipracy agzainst her character) but keeps playing for some reason. Now longtime friend and Mrs. Smith and sister in law are rabid MSN users and talk about gaming. So the split happens, and two new groups are formed out of one....the only one who plays with both groups is aquantace (remember him) this because he totally stays neutral. sigh...so that's it...hope it made sense ask questions if it doesn't.
