The Southeastern Coast The Southeastern Coast of Prydein has long been a haven for travellers, a hub of the bustling trade of the Great Ring. Two great ports once stood along the red cliffs of Prydein - Oceanus and Crisoth. Connected by the ancient Port Road built by Oceanus's long-gone Elven dynasty (The High Alder House of Greyclaw), no trade now passes between these two cities. Set back from the coast are the Southern Hills, also known as the Orcmoors, beneath which lies the Dwarven province of Khaz Modan. Once a great kingdom, it has fluorished as a part of the Falcon Kingdom, and was only brought under the reign of Queen Rhynn by dire necessity. Draconids from unknown lands have attacked, but the dwarves, even in peace, were ever-ready. Above the dwarves' subterranean halls, the cursed Black Orcs (criminals from other orcish lands) have been banished to the barren southern hills. For centuries they have remained there as a throwback to some of their people's most primitive ways, a scar on the nearly unblemished honor of the modern People of Gorak. Further east, the Alder's Forest stands as an ancient, emerald treasure - a monument to the old ways of the Alder (both True- and High-). A deciduous forest that has been tamed by uncounted millenia of elven civilization, any secrets it has left are well hidden, and dark indeed. This forest was the home of the Woodshadow, and some whisper that it was here that he raised his only living daughter, practically in the shadow of a county that could have been his, mere miles from the palace of his traitorous father's birth.
