LOl, too true. I am not a fan of reallife puzzles at all. I prefer metagame ones the characters can solve OOC and perform IC. My latest one was three screens of the Prismatic wall set in an anti-magic corridor. (Well, anti-magic except for a bare foot in front of each screen, so spells could be cast there.) At the head of the corridor were three statues Well, here is what I gave the party... ---------------------------------------------------------- When he is at the bottom, he looks around quickly and sees the three corridors bunched together are really alcoves, each being about 7-8 feet deep and holding a statue. From left to right 1. A statue of a human male in full plate armor and wielding a mace. A formal style pose. 2. The same human male wielding a bastard sword, seemingly fighting something that is not part of the statue, he almost seems to be reeling form a blow. 3. The same human male collapsing to the ground, a large hole in his abdomen. He is clutching it, holding a dagger in his hand, almost stabbing himself in his death throes. Each statue has a couple of lines of information in Celestial script on the chest. Looking down the last corridor, he can see it is narrow, about 5 feet wide, and 8 or so high. It is blank and unlit. He cannot see too far, but can see an orange field across the corridor 30 feet down. He thinks he sees a purple one and maybe a third blue field 30 feet further on. Statue Writing---------------------------------- Mace Statue The code of Pelor states: Finally, if all else fails, face your death strong of body, an example even to those who take your life. Sword Statue The code of Pelor states: First, approach a confrontation with guile, trusting in your wits for there are many paths to victory. Dagger Statue The code of Pelor states: Second, never surrender as long as your confidence in Pelor is strong and even a chance of success is present. Each states also: Use the Gifts of Pelor to strengthen yourself for each confrontation. Note: This was in the tomb of an ancient Knight of Pelor. Can anyone solve it? I'll postthe solution in a day or so.
