Hot dang! Spoony is playing again and he has a birthday. Best wishes! Sounds like a good on-the-fly game. I think you are in the right of it by not making a big deal out of the clerical infractions initially. But make sure the PC suffers the effects of the fasting in-game. Not sure you want to kill off Glinki though. If you do, make it a dramatic death, but without a body. Later on, if you feel the need to have a recurring villian, have Glinki show up again. Emphasize how torturing him has fed his hatred of the big races and now he is trying to traffic with demons/devils to get back at all of the big people for what they did to him. Level him up, give him a PRC for Tortured Soul or something. Make him scary and drag out his existance for a while. Make it clear through his actions that the PCs torturing him drove him over the edge. Have him die later as a bodyguard for an even bigger bad guy, but set it up so the PCs unleash everything they have each time they see him. When he dies, have him curse the group with his hatred and make them scared he will show up as a revenant or a ghost, or something. They did the guy wrong and you can use that to make it a memorable campaign.
