(And I would have the chance to learn, since my story would be plausible - after some dedicated scientific research). I don`t know who I would take with me - my parents or sisters might be only vaguely interested - some of my friends might be willing to go. The only disadvantage is the war against the Dominion, but if I enter the world after the end of the war, everything is fine - if I appear somewhere before (or even before the borg threat), I might be able to warn the federation/starfleet. (well, maybe I shouldn´t warn them about the first attack - very specific circumstances were needed to counter that...)Otherwise, I would probably prefer the Shadowrun Universe above most D&D settings, just going from the rules - if my ability scores lack in D&D, there is not much I can do about it - in Shadowrun, I could improve them.</blockquote>
