I'm designing an adventure in my homebrew in a mysteriously preserved mansion surrounded by forest which has grown over all the other buildings which had made up a town. There are three ghosts and one twisted crystal halfling. And 6-8 4th-5th level PC's by the time they get there, methinks.
I'm trying to make it an investigative adventure, so I figure that the halfling has dominated the ghosts by discovering and using their True Names. Once he discovers the PC's he will try to learn theirs.
So has anyone made or come across any ideas/rules for compulsion through names?
