You have not reached it yet, but only the few rocky switch-backs of the road lie before you until you are there.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: White">After reining in the wagon, the Master Mason dismounts and gathers everyone around. <span style="color: Sienna">"Perhaps it would be best if you scouted ahead. If there are more of the dead at the tower, we would likely be more hindrance than help..."</span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: White"><span style="color: DeepSkyBlue">"Not this time,"</span> Woodright says, grabbing a pick from the back of the wagon. <span style="color: DeepSkyBlue">"I'm not proud of how I acted last time and if I want to be able to look my wife and children in the face when we return to Daunton, I will not be that way again."</span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: White">The Master Mason turns to the group. <span style="color: Sienna">"Well, I guess you shall decide. Shall we all go together, shall we stay here as you scout ahead, or perhaps might we send one or two to sneak ahead and survey the situation?"</span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: White">[sblock=Perception 23]Even with the distance, you can see dozens of crows sitting on the tower battlements, their eyes glinting red in the moonlight.[/sblock]</span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: White">[sblock=Arcana or Religion 23]There is the stink of dark magics about, even heavier than it was when you faced the dead before...[/sblock]</span></p></blockquote><p></p>
