The Retriever and Improved Grab

According to the MM the Retriever has an improved grab ability on its bite attack. However it doesn't actually HAVE a bite attack listed.

How have people resolved this?

(As an aside I love the un-erattaed version of the retriever purely as a story monster - the combination of construct traits and regeneration make it basically near invulnerable, necessitating some research which is an excellent plot hook to an adventure find the lost tome/sage/whatever of Infernal construction so that they can defeat it)

Check the SRD that version has a bite listed (bite melee attack +7 damage 1d6).

p.41, Add to the retriever attacks:
(after claws) bite +7 melee
Also add to Retriever damage (after claws): bite 1d6
Cut regeneration 5 from retriever's special qualities and replace with fast healing 5.
