I disagree. We did have a fan who complained about the character sheets, ad nauseum in fact. I explained to him why they were there, that people like to have that and we respect those players. I invited him not to use it if he liked but we were absolutely not going to change it for him. He continued to run his mouth about it so I reported him to kickstarter and they banned him. Should I have instead called him dirty names and shamed his mother or something? Why? Would that change him or actually help anyone? The guy is not going to take political lessons and moralizing from a game designer any more than I'm going to take the pronoun space off the character sheet I designed. It's pointless to get into a fight over it. So I just ejected him because I had that power in that situation. I'm arguing with you now, do you feel like its helping in some way? "when Morrus reported that Dave repeatedly misgendered his staff and was angry when he was corrected." Morrus reported what a former employee said. Morrus was not actually there. He rightly recorded other people's claims as a good reporter does. We had multiple openly trans and non-binary people on our staff. We still have one at least. Dave hired all of them to work at EGG in some of the highest paid and most critical positions in the company. I was not there any time he was angry about being corrected. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I will say I was there plenty of times someone was corrected, including myself, including Dave, and no one got their feathers up in any time I saw it happen. Every time someone apologized or quickly corrected themselves going forward. I've worked there more than two years, and none of that has happened when I've been around. I'm not saying it never happened because people are not 100% consistent and we sometimes change our behaviors depending on who is present, but it is definitely out of character with day to day business at EGG. (being angry on being corrected that is, getting corrected happens every so often, because its worth correcting such mistakes)
