[QUOTE="sigfried, post: 9276988, member: 1798"] If so, sorry, that happens sometimes. I can't be sure of what people mean unless they say what they mean. The issue in the Facebook thread was people using terms like "Libtard" and "wokewarrior" as pejoratives. I called that out as inappropriate and rude, but did not engage in an actual argument that their political beliefs were bad. I commend you for actually going to look at one of these instances. It's much better than a bunch of speculation. I think you are pretty finely parsing my statements though. I wrote those things trying to find an argument that might be appealing to the person I was talking to, something they could find understandable. I failed at that and they proved to simply be hateful and belligerent so they got the boot. You like what I'm arguing for (including the pronouns) but my arguments are not the same exact arguments you might make. I'm not clear if you are trying to question my motives, or chiding me for not arguing in a specific way, or both. No I didn't. That would have zero chance of putting that argument to rest. In fact, it would be likely to agitate the guy and cause problems on the kickstarter, which is the opposite of what most moderators are trying to achieve. You don't see Morrus swooping in to argue with people as a moderator. He warns about the behavior, then he boots them, he doesn't generally give them a civics lesson. I have the additional need to explain myself as a game designer to the fans. I did that, then I acted as a moderator and got him kicked out to never darken our doorstep again. A lecture is superfluous at that point. I did put that on the character sheet so that people, be they trans or not, could use it. There are many reasons. Being inclusive of trans people is not the only reason to do it. Non trans people may want to play trans or gender neutral characters also. We do have robots and aliens who may have wildly different sexual identities etc... It is a relatively popular and increasingly standard thing to do.
