[QUOTE="sigfried, post: 9277042, member: 1798"] One thing I want to add. If you trust the content of Morrus's article, which I think you generally should, then you are also trusting much of my account of EGG. While Morrus kept all the sources but Dave anonymous, I provided a lengthy statement to Morrus, a many aspects of which he included in his reporting. I'm the employee that acknowledged the problems at the company and outlined the culture clash that was at the root of a number of issues, as well as the person that gave accounts of some of the incidents surrounding the technology use and the background behind it. I was not asked specific questions so I simply provided as much information as I could about the various aspects of the internal conflicts. Inside the company in the last two weeks I've argued for gentleness towards those who left. I've argued for not sending Cease and Desist letters (though some were sent before I could make that case). I argued against any legal actions (and so far none has been taken that I know of.) I'll continue to work for inclusive content in our games (though no one inside the company has ever argued against that). I'm trying to get us to communicate better, to write down promises, to not make promises without plans, to be more mindful of what we say, to praise everyone who works hard even if they are "only doing their job", to speak up when something isn't right, to stop and listen, to inform everyone of a decision that may impact them, to be clear on what is an aspiration and what is a promise, to pay attention to the details, to work as a close knit team, and to always try to help one another and be open to others help. If anyone here has values or ideals you think a game company should follow, feel free to throw them my way and I'll take them with me to our company meeting at Gamma where we are slated to discuss and set a new set of values. I'll be bringing my own as well of course. I don't call the shots at EGG, but I do have some influence. Certainly everything you read about in this article will be on the "don't ever do this" list.
