They were discussing whether to make Salvella the heir of the house of Sirmex, considering her sorcery to be a sign of divine intention or sign of rigthful rulership. As a young adolescent being trained to do nothing but ascend to the title of Baron of Sirmex, Dweldan was incredibly irritated and stormed up to his sister’s room, demanding her to explain whether she used her powers to get her in this position or not. She said “Not my sorcerous power... our father just likes me better”. This led to a rather heated row with his sister, with accusations flying back and forth. The story spread and the Baron, still loving his son, did not bring him to justice, even though what Dweldan did infuriated him. His father did beat him with his scepter for a few weeks, and Dweldan, out of guilt, accepted this as his punishment. A powerful seer was brought. She found out that the only thing that would lift the curse was to bathe in the blood of one of the most sorcerous beings in the world: a dragon of at least 800 years old. The tensions in the house ran high and Dweldan armed himself with some of the arms and equipment he could find that night.
