[QUOTE="Joe Mohr, post: 9893051, member: 6969151"] This is an OSRIC Adventure for characters of 1st or 2nd level. About a mile from the Village of Gray Rock are some ancient ruins guarding the Serpent River. The stones have been there longer than most can remember. Some ancient warlord set up a keep there to charge a toll for anyone wishing to travel the river. Eventually the warlord died and the small keep fell into ruin. Now it is mostly a few weathered stone walls with moss growing out of them. Few people visit the place any more. There is little reason to. Traffic along the river is sparse in any event. Mostly the river is used for irrigating crops and for fishing. A small amount of commercial traffic goes down river from the village but rarely up river where the ruins are. There have been persistent rumors that some valuable treasure was lost at the site of the ruins long ago. Perhaps these rumors are even true. Who knows. But adventurers wanting to make their fortunes in this part of the realm might do well to explore them.
