[QUOTE="Chaosmancer, post: 8415488, member: 6801228"] I'm not sure what you are referring to? Personally, I find worshiping a being who demands or creating a religion around "everything including myself must die a painful and horrible death" to be a bit... extremely silly. I know that evil gods can exist, but at a certain point they become so nihilistic or insane that I have a hard time justifying religions forming around them. But that's just me, I know that people can and do have this. To me, religion involves an end goal that people can agree with. For example, I saw a a reinterpretation of Nerul as the God of Death that I actually really liked. It was a homebrew and the idea was that he first seperated life and death, but then was horrified by the amount of pain and suffering that was caused by life. So, his goal is the ending of all life, because that is the only way to end all pain and all suffering. There are a few other details involved, for example his order includes assassins who specialize in a painless death, but they usually don't go around murdering commoners for no reason, but it gives an end goal to the religion that makes sense for people to work towards. Working towards "I want to cause as much pain as possible and turn existence into pain for myself" doesn't... make sense. It doesn't have an appeal that you can recruit people to your cause with.
