Wow! That's all I can say at this point. The response from publishers of both rpgs and ezines/magazines has been great! I never realized just how many RPG Publishers were out there until I started this.
Plus I have received a great deal of advice and suggestions.
First off, instead of being a once a year book, this will be a monthly pdf. There will be two versions available, printer- and ink-friendly and a slightly fancier version. Second, there will be reviews of rpg products, interviews with freelancers and publshers, a monthly company spotlight and articles by freelancers. I'm also looking into including immediate Open Calls from publishers as well. There will also be a listing of Reviewers and Review sites.
There will also be a database set up on the website for freelancers to post their skills.
The pdf will be a yearly subscription of around 20.00 US. I had to think long and hard about charging for this, believe me, but I'm putting in a lot of time into this and have to cover costs. But by charging a subscription rate, I would also be able to pay freelancers to write articles for the pdf. Not sure about including artwork, however. I would like to. Need to think on that a bit more.
But it will have regular updates each month and the website will be updated weekly. Here's the url for the website:
http://www.rpgfreelancers.com/index.html
The site will be redesigned soon (as soon as I receive the book that tells me how to do this!
), but I wanted to get the basic site up.
That's all for now. Have to get back to work.
