Within an hour or two, your party is crossing over the trees on the south bank at a gentle pace. The air is quiet and close- even the Planesail seems to ripple quietly. Passing over the river, the Diana bears East and halts momentarily for Tchikkatlikkit  to consult his charts. When some of you note a few small barges poled by bronze-skinned humans down the river at a good distance, Tchikkatlikkit puts away the charts and guides the ship north. The Diana moves away from them, for safety. By the time Hremelan emerges from below decks, you are flying over vast expanses of more trees. Desert mountains and dry mesa loom up towards the north. (montage scene of the Diana flying over vast expanses of lush terrain and desert mesa.. flying over big sculpted rock formations and multicolored cliffs similar to the American southwest. The only lifeforms seen are a few herds of giant lizards passively munching on cacti and sunning themselves on the rocks. The scene ends on the brilliant pink and purple sunset that appears in the West. )By evening, there is a meal served of bread and some kind of soup that was actually meant to be stew.
