Some things I wanted to mention about stats, but forgot. :) I do intend to use the ELH fully. Also, though I prefer to keep them mostly core, I will be entertaining the idea of using any book that pertains to what that Scion can do. One thing that I don't like about the D&DG and also the ELH (see abominations) is that you have these beings whose fit into *categories*. I never liked that idea personally, and think that each one should have totally unique stats (patterns and similarities are fine, but overuse of them shows a lack of imagination and innovation). So, each of the Scions will be constructed individually from scratch. They will also not have a divine rank at all; when they hit DvR 0 they ascend to godhood and leave the Material plane behind, eventually becoming demigods. Most will have spell-like abilities, many will cast spells as a specific class, nearly all with have immunities and resistances to one or more energy types, all should have natural armor of varying amounts, and probably all should have DR of varying types (some alignment-based, some materials based, some epic, etc), some will have fast healing and/or regeneration and SR. The thing I disliked most about ELH monsters is that they are *types* of creatures. It seems strange to me that you could have a race of giants, or plants, or oozes, or whatever who just happen to have 30 HD at birth or first waking moment or whatever. I always thought that epic creatures should be completely individual - either they are unique creations of the gods or some other power, made to be that powerful (like the archfiends and celestial paragons), or they are creatures advanced by HD or character levels. Thus, I have the Scions, who are in the first category.
