They like children, and often entertain them with their ability to do “magic things”. Other than children, trumpies shy away from humanoids, and once met with violence will react with violence, sometimes going on killing sprees if seriously provoked. Trumpies live simple lives out in their forest homes, feeding on nuts and berries (almost constantly; the easiest way to a trumpy’s heart is through its stomach). They make few goods, but collect and use useful items they find or take from their victims. They have mammal-like traits, but lay eggs, which they defend with their lives (a trumpy that loses a brood will often be the one that kills people). Trumpies mature within days of being hatched.Trumpies speak Trumpish, a language of groans and hoots that is difficult for humanoids to learn.
