Just wanted to say my hat is off to S.T. Cooley (aka The Sigil). I puchased the pdf of The Enchiridion of Mystic Music some time ago. I recently got an email saying there was an update and I could download it for free. What a great way to run a publishing company.

Anyway, just wanted to say Thanks!

He is a great writer and a great guy.

PDF publishers are quite good about this; Phillip J. Reed, Silverthorne Games, Ambient, Malhavok, and I believe a few others have gotten their customers at times quite significantly updated versions of their products.

You're welcome. :-)

Also, *shameless plug* I released another book, the Enchiridion of Treasures and Objects d'Art on Sunday. You might be interested in checking it out, too. :)

Finally, FWIW, after our new baby arrives (by hook or by crook, will be here within the week), I intend to do some more "house-cleaning" and revising of the Enchiridion of Mystic Music. And that update will be free to paid customers as well.

Lemme echo the praise for Sigil. He's been a great addition to the d20 community. I love the E. of Mystic Music and have been impressed with his great customer service.

Sigil, best wishes to you and your wife and your new baby. I hope everything goes well and mother and baby are safe, healthy, and happy.

Mystic Music is a great product, and I, too, got the free update to it. PDF authors have a particular advantage over print authors in that a) it doesn't really cost anything to provide updates, and b) they have all of their customers' addresses.

Honestly, I didn't care that much for Sigil's interpretation of the Bard, but that doesn't make it any less of a great product. I have used it in creating my own (still in progress) class, the Minstrel. So, I have gotten use out of it, nonetheless.

And I just purchased his Treasures and Objects d'arte.

I'm printing it (slowly) at work. It's a tremendous work, and should add a great deal to my campaign world. I would recommend it to anyone who has ever tried to fill out a dragon's treasure horde, and wanted to breathe some life into the treasure.

Great stuff.

FWIW, and many who have the product may have missed this, there is a link in the product (which I don't feel at all bad giving out) to about 800 pictures of gems (taken by myself, and you'll note that on the linked page, I have given permission for re-use). They're not the best (I am not a professional photographer by any means and my time was limited) around, but YOU CAN USE THEM! :)

I was originally planning on dropping these into the EoTaOdA but realized that doing so at any decent resolution would shoot the filesize through the ceiling - so I relented.

Not all the gems in the EoTaOdA have pictures here - and not all the gems pictured here have entries in the EoTaOdA - but I think there should be plenty of "eye candy" for you to swipe and use in your own games. :)
