I'm new here, so please correct me or tell me what to change, and if I'm posting the right website, it's a story that I recently started to write
Chapter 1: The Necklace of Ancestors
The moon hung high over the quiet village of Telmar, casting a silver glow across the rooftops. Lanterns flickered in the narrow streets, and the distant mountains stood like silent giants guarding the valley. In the heart of the village lived a boy named Kael, a curious and restless soul with eyes as sharp as the stars above.
Kael often gazed at the mountains, feeling a strange pull he couldn’t explain. “One day,” he whispered to himself, “I’ll find out what’s hidden beyond those peaks.”
On his fifteenth birthday, his grandfather called him into the small stone cottage they shared. The old man’s hands trembled slightly as he opened a wooden box, revealing a shining silver necklace shaped like a dragon coiled around a gem.
“This,” his grandfather said, “has been passed down through our bloodline for generations. It is not a trinket, Kael. It is a promise.”
Kael reached for the necklace, feeling its cold metal warm in his palm. “What does it do?”
His grandfather’s eyes grew distant. “It holds the spirit of the Silver Dragon—our greatest protector. But with its power comes great burden. If you ever choose to break this necklace, you will awaken that power… and change forever.”
That night, Kael lay awake, the necklace resting beside him. He could hear the wind howl from the mountains. Something in it felt like a warning, or perhaps… a call.
Far beyond Telmar, in the Dark Valley of Sorrow, shadowy figures gathered under a blood-red moon. Demon raiders, their eyes burning with hatred, prepared to march. Their leader grinned, sharp fangs glinting.
“The time has come,” the demon hissed. “Telmar will burn, and the Silver Dragon’s line will end.”
Kael did not yet know that his destiny had already begun to unfold.
