PA'AVU's eyes widen in surprise as her gosb'tar reappears before them. His disappearance has not been quite long enough for her to become concerned, but she is not used to the lack of any sense of his "voice" within her mind. If she were less stoic in demeanor, relief would rest on her countenance, but her expression remains--as ever--impassive. The goliath is very curious about the animate and ancient cane floating around them, obviously observing them all. It "peers" at her for a long time, then seems to regard Chanvati with some disapproval. It taps sharply on the ground three times, and a small and exquisite statue appears at the feet of the merchant prince. He picks it up to examine it, then looks directly at Pa'avu, turning the figure around to face her. The statue--made of precious metals--depicts a female goliath lifting her arms above her head, spread apart: she has broken her shackles of servitude. As the goliath takes this image in, the cane floats over toward her, hovering at shoulder height. Somehow (her renewed connection with Chanvati, no doubt) Pa'avu understands that this cane is a representation or connection to Avandra. Energy thrums through her skin as the cane taps her shoulders, along with a sense of agency and freedom. Something has been released.

So. We choose (c): we will let The Aspect of Nerull scribe the circle while we carefully downclimb, Pa'avu receives Avandra's Boon, and Chanvati receives a purty statue. Our thoughts with this are as follows: with Avandra, being the goddess of travel and freedom, and Pa'avu, still technically being Chanvati's slave, it seems appropriate that the goddess seeks to push Chanvati beyond this narrow idea of hierarchy, to make him put his money where his mouth is!
