No conspiracy here, I'm afraid. Many contributors have asked to withdraw their submissions and a lot of the submissions are more than a year old, so WotC is starting over from scratch, letting those writers who want to work with them contact them directly. As Chris Thomasson and I agreed the other day in email, this is probably how we should have done it in the first place.

I don't think I would read a lot into that. Looks like they're trying to save themselves some time and avoid doubling up as some people have already resubmitted the same ideas to WotC that Paizo had in their slush pile.
