The elders of the Clan decided this was a nice place to stop. Granny Witchmoon, an old, crazy hag of a woman, told you that this plain was a previous territory of a fearsome dragon known as Ashardalon. How she came to know this, no-one knows. However, the esteemed Big Daddy Nim convinced the rest of you, that if Granny Witchmoon said it was so, so it was. The Clan, all thirteen hundred of them, made camp on the plains. A scout was sent southward, towards the distant village. He came back only a few hours later, informing you that it was a fairly small village, by the name of Oakhurst. A meeting was held, where a party of six gnomes was chosen to venture into Oakhurst, trying to find any rumours of Ashardalon, and where this behemoth might be now. Granny Witchmoon bids you farewell: “We wish you good luck on this quest. Take this Ellawyn. I trust you to take care of all the old fools, and make sure they get safe back. If not, oh well. Inside is a few pieces of gold that you can use in the village for whatever you might need. And here” she hands you a sword. Its design is such as you have never seen before. It is shaped like a big tooth. Upon closer inspection you realize that it actually is a real tooth from a dragon! “this is Bitterbite. Our Mother gave me this tooth years ago, and helped me fashion it into a sword. I kept it secret, until now. Use it wisely, young one, for it is special. Fare well, and good luck.” And so here you are, within sight of Oakhurst, all six of you. Ellawyn, the young bard. She has with her the old semi-broken mandolin, and the bag of “goodies” that the Eleders gave her before leaving the camp. Malexander, the charismatic sorcerer. His Mohawk making him look somewhat draconic. Tilcho, the quiet barbarian. Carrying his trusty halberd on his shoulder, he seems ready for battle whenever it comes. Plith, the nervous cleric. Preferring to stay at the back of the party, he looks nervously around for anything that might harm him. Grimknobble, the armored fighter. If anything is able to pierce his plate, he sure haven’t met it yet. And lastly, Bilgewhistle, previously leader of the UnderPact, now acting as the partys stealth-expert. [sblock]The sword is a Dragonfang Small Longsword. It is a masterwork sword, granting a +1 bonus on attacks. It also deals +1 acid damage on each successive attack.
