OoC: Welcome back! IC: After discreetly admonishing Eppy to "be careful" with Brigit because "she's not what she seems", Devlin and Ryland took Kamdar's invitation in hand and returned to Tower Inn. The morning felt crisp and exciting, as they believed they were finally getting somewhere with unraveling the mystery that had subsumed most of their last few days. Upon presenting the invitation at the Tower Inn, the keeper inquired if they would be staying another day (apparently he was well aware that Enialis would be). As for Kamdar, "I'll take ye to him" was all that he said, and all that he needed to say. The trio proceeded upstairs to room 12, and the innkeeper knocked on the door. Devlin and Ryland were only half prepared for the figure who greeted them when it opened. Kamdar Fatwon was a huge half orc, they'd expected as much. What they hadn't expected was that large rolls of fat nearly concealed the rippling muscles underneath. They also hadn't expected impeccable grooming, or the clothing and air of Medibarian nobility. Now, they had no real proof that Kamdar was of noble birth...he just acted that way. Maybe it was all just an act. Maybe he was delusional. Either way, he seemed to be a very different sort than would would expect to find giving orders to a fool like Wilbur. "Come in, come in", he called, placing both hands on Devlin's left arm in a welcoming gesture and leading him inside. "You must be Mr. Magruder, and you must be Mr. Ryland." His huge paws released Devlin's arm from their grip, and he poured himself a drink from a decanter resting on a table in the opulent room. Devlin and Ryland's acccomodations in the Tower were more luxurious than they were accustomed to, but apparently Kamdar was occupying what passed for the Tower's "Presidential Suite". Ordering two more glasses neatly on the table, Fatwon pronounced that he was drinking "Medibarian whiskey", and offered each of the pair a glass.
