Repent, repent! The End is nigh! OOC: Hello Dungannon, Salix. In light of El Jefe's extended absence, it seems that this adventure is in need of good finish. I've been following it with interest from the beginning, and Orsal has handed the substitute DM-ship off to me, in hopes that I can give it the bold finish it deserves. You guys have spent way too long on this for it to fizzle out. So... on with the climax! Ryland's voice wavers hypnotically and his hands move dizzingly as he addresses Brigit. She stares at him, baffled by his outburst and his blunt question. "No! What? No!" Kamdar just laughs and laughs. But Jobe gets up from his seat, stares directly into Ryland's eyes, and says in his high, soft voice, "No... No I did not kill that man..." Kamdar stops laughing, looks at Jobe, and starts laughing again, this time even louder. Brigit seems confused at first, but then realization dawns on her. With hurt in her voice, she says, "So my own advocates don't even believe me? Why would I have you make this transaction for me if I didn't trust you?" She looks to Devlin, her eyes pleading, "I don't like how your little friend is treating me, Mr. Devlin. Surely at least someone here is on my side?" Kamdar has stopped laughing, now he is simply smiling. Smiling and waiting. [sblock=OOC: ]Ryland's hypnotism will last another two rounds (which will actually take place during Brigit's words), but obviously only Jobe was affected. Please, feel free to interrupt Brigit if you so desire. Devlin's question to Fatwon is not forgotten, but Ryland's spell interrupted the flow of conversation. Fatwon looks prepared to answer Devlin's question about the value of the orb as soon as the 3 "negotiators" work through this new difficulty in their already strained relationship.[/sblock]
