Well sir, it will be an additional expenditure in time of only five and fifteen-seventeenths per cent,"</span> he says with an exasperated smile. <span style="color: SlateGray">"I believe there is just one ship leaving for Monemvassia today, is there not?"</span> Jobe nods rapidly.</p><p></p><p>Kamdar looks at both Ryland and Devlin. <span style="color: SlateGray">"Quite frankly sirs, I'd like to have you along. You're gentlemen of nice judgment and many resources. No matter, no matter. I regret that I could not help you find your friend's murderer."</span> The fat crook turns to Brigit and bows slightly. <span style="color: SlateGray">"Milady, I'm sorry that our business relationship was filled with so much turmoil. Perhaps, in other circumstances, we could have been excellent associates."</span> Addressing everybody, Kamdar says, <span style="color: SlateGray">"Here."</span> He tosses one more bag of platinum onto the table. Jobe cringes. <span style="color: SlateGray">"I trust you'll all keep silent about our activities and our destination, yes? I leave the <em>rara orbis</em> on the table there, as a little momento - heh, heh. Good bye."</span> With another bow, Kamdar turns and waddles out of the room. Jobe, clearly still nervous, raises his crossbow and backs out of the room slowly.</p><p></p><p><span style="font-size: 9px">OOC: Jobe never gives you the opportunity to surprise him, and both Devlin and Ryland have a feeling that Kamdar is not easily caught unawares. Brigit has sat quietly chewing her lip throughout this whole exchange. If you still want to attack, despite the lack of a surprise round, please tell me and we'll roll initiative. Otherwise, read on...</span></p><p></p><p>[sblock=If nobody stops them...]Kamdar opens the door and walks out into the hall, Jobe follows, and Kamdar gently closes the door behind (well, in front) of the elf. A whispered conversation can be heard outside.</p><p></p><p>[sblock=Listen DC:25]"That was far too much money, Fatwon."</p><p>- "Yes, well, freedom from the law is expensive, but it's a price I'm willing to pay."</p><p>"Agreed. You're sure there is a boat leaving today?"</p><p>- "Positive, unless you managed to burn that one down as well."</p><p></p><p>After about a minute of similar conversation, footsteps walk away.[/sblock]</p><p>Brigit stands and moves to the other side of the table.
