The successor to Starcraft has arrived!!

The game is called Armies of Exigo. I played starcraft religiously for years, and this is the best rts I've played since. ITs a blend of starcraft and warcraft3, and imo combines the best of both. The game has just been released in the USA, and will soon be released across the world.

The demo is the full version of the game, just with some bugs and not quite optimized. Feel free to d/l it and play the game.

Also, go to ww.aoxlegacy.com. This is the main Armies of Exigo fanpage. You can ask questions on the forum...and there are a ton of replays you can watch with your copy of the demo, to allow you to see the full action of the game.

How can you call a medieval game the successor to Starcraft?!?!?

The whole thing that made Starcraft so cool was the the look and the feel, and the style of the art, and the backstory and the ingame story and just how there was so much depth to there universe and how you really felt like you knew the characters, you felt bad for fenix when he died, you felt sad for Kerrigan when she was betrayed, and all that. Man, now I wanna play starcraft again.

I'm gonna try out your demo but I really don't see how it's gonna convince me.

I think you're exaggerating though. The single player of SC was good, that much is true. But the thing that make Starcraft so great was the incomparable multiplayer.

Armies of Exigo is a very good game, tho. No wonder, it's like 95% blatantly ripped off Warcraft/Starcraft (but in a good way, and the missions seem to be pretty well done with some new ideas as well from what I have read).

I'd call it a successor to Warcraft 3, as that's pretty much what it is, just with another storyline.

I strongly suggest Dawn of War to anyone who likes sci-fi RTSs, especially for the multiplayer. Highly strategic, action-oriented, spectacular graphics.

The gameplay is actually much more like starcraft than warcraft3.

It actually seems to me like a mix of Myth: The Fallen Lords, Warcraft 3, and a touch of Starcraft.

The only real successor to Starcraft will be Starcraft 2.

I hated myth in general because it took too damn long to move units across the board
