The successor to Starcraft has arrived!!

The gameplay is actually much more like starcraft than warcraft3.

I have only played one mission in a demo, I've found in a magazine a while ago, and that was a lot like Warcraft 3 (without the stupid heroes, which I never really liked, as they were too important in WC3 - the AoE heroes are more like in Starcraft, important, but not that important, but the whole game plays exactly like Warcraft (not that WC and SC are so different to each other in terms of gameplay)).

Now that WoW is finally out, I suspect that much of the team will get cracking on StarCraft 2 after a break. (The team lead on WoW was also the team lead on Brood War.)

Very interesting! I was just thinking earlier today (because of this thread) that BW is the best game expansion I've ever played, and possibly my favorite Blizzard title ever (certainly far surpassing any of the Diablo iterations IMO). Wi would love love love to get a Starcraft 2--preferably not a console FPS, either .
