The concept is - vague.  I get it, but like all things, it's the initial hook that has to draw in a crowd and the first episode just doesn't do that.  The pacing is erratic, too slow in some places and too quick in others.  The cinematography isn't bad for what appears to be a single camera operation all though the "special effects shots" are far to long and too many in number to be really effective (the root word being effect) or all that special.  Not that they are bad, just not used in the best way possible in my opinion.The acting isn't bad, specifically the "documentary" style drama which was put to effect so well by "Blair Witch" and has been copied unsuccessfully (for the most part, by everyone else); here however, it works in spades so the direction in that aspect at least is clicking on most if not all cylinders. Sound (a particular area of expertise of mine) is over all very good, though the opening music was disjointed when it broke into the "hip-hop/trance/industrial" bit.  Also, the wind noise was a little distracting on the outside shots, if possible find a good sound engineer who can do voice over tracking to limit this as they would in Hollyweird on a sound stage.Overall the project has merit, someone has a specific vision of what they want and are pushing it through great guns, however, it needs to be tempered by someone with a little more experience in long term direction/production.  For those who find this particular subject of interest, this project is something I think would appeal to them, a very niche market audience, but one that could garner quite a bit of cult status. On the mass market scale a D+ overall; for the indie/niche market it's aimed at a B- with upward mobility once the long-term kinks are worked out.</blockquote>
