Message: <blockquote data-quote="El Jefe" data-source="post: 1841144" data-attributes="member: 19990">Oirhandir spyed the halfling following the grey elf priest through the gate."Not much to tell, Ignatious", he replied.  "The old map showed a mill on the road to Fallon, on the River Roars.  Now, the road that exists today doesn't go anywhere near the river, but years ago apparently it did.  We didn't know that, so we took the road to Lathirn and camped just this side of the bridge over the Roars.  Some of our party noticed a path leading east along the riverbank, but didn't think it worth mentioning to the rest of us.  The next day, we crossed over the Roars and followed the south bank upstream to the Gallgo.  The Gallgo is shallow but wide, and it was midday before we were all across.  The swamp began on the east bank of the Gallgo, and it was a wet, mucky trip up the south bank of the Roars.  Near dusk, we found the ruins of the old mill.  All but the foundation was gone, but a sturdy dam still spanned the Roars!  The water over the dam was only ankle deep, so we used it as a bridge to get to the north bank and a dry place to make camp.  That night we were attacked by a swarm of tiny vipers...I think they live in the swamp and swam the river to get us.  We drove them off, but not before they filled our mage, Calamar, with venom.  The next morning, we followed the "path", which was the old road to Fallon, back to the bridge over the Roars, and thence back here.  That's it."  He ended with a shrug of his shoulders."Had we not been molested, we'd have crossed back over the dam in the morning, and started searching the interior of the swamp for the treasure."</blockquote>
