This is an old conversion, so I can't swear to the quality of it. But here goes. Open question to BOZ or somebody on the CC crew, or even anybody in the know: what was the first appearance of this guy? I have his stats from the Planescape MC. -------------------------- T’uen-rin Large Outsider (Good) Hit Dice: 16d8+64 (136 hp) Initiative: +4 (Dex) Speed: 60 ft., fly 120 ft. AC: 28 (+4 Dex, -1 size, +15 natural) Attacks: 2 kicks +24, horn +19 Damage: Kick 1d10+10, horn 2d10+8 Face/Reach: 10 ft./5 ft. Special Attacks: Awe, magic use, psionics Special Qualities: SR 29, telepathy Saves: Fort +14, Ref +14, Will +15 Abilities: Str 26, Dex 19, Con 19, Int 27, Wis 20, Cha 25 Skills: Animal Empathy +23, Bluff +17, Concentration +8, Decipher Script +12, Diplomacy +22, Heal +13, Listen +9, Jump +19, Knowledge (arcana) +34, Knowledge (nature) +29, Knowledge (the planes) +35, Knowledge (religion) +35, Move Silently +12, Scry +19, Search +22, Sense Motive +17, Spellcraft +23, Spot +12, Swim +13, Wilderness Lore +11 Feats: Flyby Attack, Unbreakable Concentration, Weapon Focus (kick), Weapon Specialization (kick) Climate/Terrain: Any land and underground Organization: Solitary Challenge Rating: 20 Treasure: Double standard Alignment: Always lawful good Advancement: 17-32 HD (Large), 33-48 HD (Huge) T’uen-rin are the planar equivalents of the Prime Material’s ki-rin. They epitomize everything the ki-rins stand for. They ceaselessly fight against evil wherever they find it. A t’uen-rin resembles its lesser kin: horselike, covered with golden scales, with golden manes and tails and pink hooves and horn. Their eyes are deep purple in color. Flowers also spring up wherever a t’uen-rin’s hooves strike earth. All t’uen-rin function as 20th-level wizards. They speak all human languages. Skills: T’uen-rin receive a +6 bonus to Jump checks. Their Animal Empathy skill is also increased by +6 for the purposes of dealing with ki-rin. Awe (Sp): Usable once per day. Any creature within visual range must make a Will save (DC 30, -6) or stand motionless for a number of rounds equal to 20 minus the Wisdom score (but always a minimum of 1 round). Celestial beings or half-celestials are immune to this effect. Psionics (Sp): At will - astral projection, charm monster, detect thoughts, levitate, plane shift, and suggestion. These abilities are as the spells cast by an 10th-level sorcerer. Telepathy (Su): T’uen-rin are able to communicate telepathically with any creature within 160 feet that has a language.
