[QUOTE="ASEO, post: 2010461, member: 12224"] The Tuggarth Gauntlet - 3 Average This is a 16 half-page pocket adventure. While it sells for $3.95, it is of better production quality and has better maps and art than the similar AEG pocket adventures. The adventure is for 4-6 characters levels 4-6. - - - - - - - - SPOILERS- - - - - - - - - - - Outside of back cover in an introduction. Inside of both covers are adds or OGL. Page 16 is an add and page 15 is credits. Page 8-9 is a full color centerfold 81/2 x 11 map complete with a scale which the AEG books lack. Pages 12 and 13 are a new creature, the Phase Goblin and Page 14 is two new magic items that feature in the Adventure. The premis of this adventure is the daughter of a bar keep asks the party to investigate a map to a "Wine Spring" that was found in her father's possessions after he was murdered. The Party then head through the woods to said spring and must fight off minions (Seven 2nd level Commoners) of the father's murderer along the way. They may also encounter a lone Dwarf (Ftr 5) and his party (five Dwarven 3rd level fighters) who are searching for a lost magical gauntlet rumored to be in the area. The party eventually comes to a clearing amidst some old ruins, atop a cliff and find over a dozen Goblins (EL3, although no EL, just the individual Goblin CR is listed) partying in a the wine spring. Off to the side are 4 Phase Goblins (CR2) sitting by a fire, but who will surely join the fight. Seems long ago this area was a Dwarven Hold and the leader of the Dwarves had a magic gauntlet that gave him a +1 to STR and +1 CHA as well as made any vessel held by the gauntlet produce a excellent wine that would, once per day, heal the drinker for 1 HP. Seems that this Dwarf leader was killed in a coup and his body, still wearing the gauntlet and still clenching a goblet was dumped in this spring, where the gauntlet's power still manages to produce outstanding wine. The Dwarves want the gauntlet because it is the head Dwarf's birthright. and The Party's employer relies on the excellent wine being produced by the spring to keep her customers coming in. Now here is where the party can run into some choices to make. The Dwarves are willing to let the party loot the remains of the Dwarven hold (a cave leads into the side a hill by the clearing. Although this area is beyond the scope of this adventure, it is suggested that t lead to Dwarven ruins). If the party agrees to let the Dwarves have the gauntlet the Dwarves give them the cup in the gauntlet's grasp. Seems this cup is a magic item as well and will make excellent brew out of anything put in the cup over night...honey becomes mead, grapes...wine, etc... This will also work if the cup is placed in a keg of raw ingredients. The tavern will be able to keep producing wine, but not at the same rate that it once did. Or the party can kill the Dwarves and have it all. Muuahhahah! Over all this adventure was well done, but the party I ran had an easy time of it. The product is nice and well done, the adventure just came out sort of Blah, and having the cop out, best of both worlds, Dwarves get gauntlet, party gets cup, solution was weak. Next time I run it I'll make the dilemma more severe with the lass about to lose her tavern, no magical cup, and the Dwarves led by a holier than thou Paladin intent on reclaiming all the Dwarven hold.
