The Unsung Hero of Essentials

The Dungeon Tiles Master Set is the best deal out of the whole thing.

1) You basically get the equivalent of 2 dungeon tiles sets for $20. Aside from a few new pieces, there are a bunch of reprints from Out of Print sets as well. I have every dungeon tiles set (except for one set... can't remember which) but I definitely don't mind duplicates.

2) The box top and bottom are dungeon tiles, elevated at 1 inch and 2 inches respectively.

3) The box is too big for the tiles it comes with. There's a cardboard thingy in there to keep the sheets from rattling around during shipping, but the tiles themselves will fill up less than half of the box. What's this mean? It means I cram some of the tiles I already own in there too. Once the whole line of 3 Master Sets is out, between the three boxes I'll finally have storage for all of my dungeon tiles.

I am debating on this one. My problem with the tiles is that its hard to, say, duplicate the floor plan in a WotC adventure. Does having a "master set" like this help?

I have bought doubles of most sets and singles of all but the Forgotten Thane.

So I have a lot of tiles. Really a lot.

And I don't see the need for this set. For someone getting into tiles or who started 5 or so sets ago, it is great. For me, I think I will pass on it.

BTW, I saw pictures of them and am pretty sure there are no new tiles. Could be wrong, though.
