I started learning to say NO to books that I was not sure I would use, and I started looking back at what I had, and try to make it useful.Everyone was saying that 3.0 was dead, but the truth I found in my case is that you can just play the edition you want... People that would refuse to play with you only because "it's not the right edition" are not that common, and if they cannot be convinced then there's a good chance that they are not the kind of gamers I like to play with.Anyway, if I had spent even 3000$ in 3rd edition books but actually USED THEM, I would not feel bad at all at the coming of 4e, since anyway the money would have served the game. So maybe the problem really is buying lots of things but not using it at all. Being a D&D "reader" and never become a D&D "player"... so then of course it's understandable that when the edition changes before you actually even had a chance to play, then someone is pretty pissed off...</blockquote>
