The worst mental block about a feat... spring attack

Picture a battle field that looks like this... Number 1 is a human and number 2 is some random monster. The human is about to spring attack the Monster. It never occured to me to spring past the moster (into rows B or A) but I always wound up back in Rows D, E, F, or beyond towards Z.

Start calling the feat "Bound" (as in "bounding across the battlefield"), at least in your head. That's what I do.

I have Spring Attack and I'm okay
I swing my sword and I bound away
(He has Spring Attack and he's okay
He swings his sword and he bounds away!)

Or rename it the "Dodge AoO's so I can stand wherever I want, after an attack" (DASICSWIWAAF, for short).

Maybe because there is usually more than one monster and you don't want to provoque AoO from them if they are in the B,C or A row.
