Image here: Modos RPG Community I was just running a fight in Roll20, and thought I'd share a picture since the elements were rolling along well: Turn Order: each character in conflict has a tab listed in initiative order. After the initiative contest, each tab shows how many actions the character has left in the round. The Initiating tab sits right above the character who is currently "initiating" (starting each series of actions, a.k.a. taking his turn). Black box: to clear up the battlefield, I drop a black box under the tokens, sort of like the underground encounters in Dragon Warrior. Each row in the box represents a posture, and the middle row divides friend from foe. Ander was poisoned (hence the poison icon) and moved away from danger, so his token sits in defensive posture. Myles was too far away to fight, so I moved his token out of the conflict. Nimhe doesn't actually occupy two postures, but I gave her two rows just to convey her size. She's in offensive posture, since she's right next to the middle row (dividing line). Baern (the guy with the aura) took the Rage perk, and is a maniac in battle. So his player dropped an aura on him, partly as a reminder that he can add a hero point to damage if he wants. The in-game scenario was that the characters were trapped in a small room, and Nimhe had started spinning web over the only exit. Ander was at the back of the room, and Wilheard had collected a small pile of flammables (mostly torches), bright enough to illuminate the shiny webbing in the doorway, and the dark beast that lurked behind it. Hope this captures your interest. Happy gaming!
