Wyverns Claw strikes again, strikes gold that is. This internet publishing house has built a fantastic sequal to the very excellent Theivery 101 series. Continuing the saga of our solo rouge, or as a stand alone scenario, this adventure lures our solo rouge into the house of a money changer to get "The Periapt of Famidon" (see their website for what a Periapt is, its whats on the cover of the product), while the still churning waters of the intrigue introduced in Joining the Watchers begins to enter a roiling boil. A well thought out scenario which gives in great detail the layout of the moneychangers residence, the NPCs, and provides great analysis of ways a rouge could enter the residence and the dangers of each route. A real nice touch is the rumor table in which those "intrigue" skills get a real work out. Again, like in Joining the watchers, a smart rouge who uses his skills and talents will fare much better than a muscle headed "enforcer." "Planning ahead enables a rouge to keep his." is what I say and this dungeon makes that job easy for the DM. The artwork is very good at describing certain locations of the house as well as what the rouge is looking for. The presentation is excellent and a DM who reads the scenario in its entirety before running it would not be caught with his pockets picked. And for the meager price of $2.95 you get 17 pages of a very fine "one on one" adventure. But what you are also getting is the setting where the FREE supplement (which actually has 25 pages - 8 more than the adventure) takes place. This supplement due sometime soon, titled "Thief Among Us" is FREE (sorry, I like that word) and details a party that take place at the residence of the moneychanger and makes a great adventure for the "social" thief versus the sneak theif. So quickly head to www.wyvernsclaw.com and look for it soon. My only nitpick was there is a brief optional encounter in which a rouge can obtain information about the house. But in the rumors that the player can find, there is no way a rouge could determine this source of information even exists, because no name is mentioned, or that an outside source was even involved. So this one source is definately up to the player in making some great leaps of logic and doing some serious digging around, that or a kind DM adding one more rumor to the rumor mill. So if you are wanting to see if all these great reviews are true, check out the FREE supplement and then purchase from Wyverns Claw everything they make.
