ooc: I´ll try to describe the situations the best I can. You just arrivd there and asked the man. You´ve been mere seconds there, but if you stay in the open, watching and/or asking more questions everyone that has eyes in his face will notice you. Right now, the dock boils with activity, so finding a quiet place from where you can watch without being noticed is very difficult. As you´ve previously noticed, the mansions owned by merchants and other important buildings, like temples, gather around the town´s central square. Between them and the docks you can find the commerces, stores, guilds and some houses that once where middle class but now, mostly, are not. The poorest houses actually lie to the east, next to the city´s walls; the city´s shape isn´t disimilar to Orussus, but resembles more accurately a crescent moon. Now, the warehouses -and most Gotian buildings in general- are stone, square buildings with a flat roof surrounded by a low parapet, since weather here isn´t too harsh and very rarely snows. They are, obviously, located near the docks. Interestingly, most of the warehouses also boast a tall and slim tower on one corner, and you can see people on them watching the sea. The warehouse you care of has two large doors, one on the port side and the other directly opposite; those doors have built in them smaller doors -so you don´t have to open the entire large door is a person wants to enter-. The large doors are big enough for a cart to enter them. The streets surrounding the warehouses are relatively wide, with enough space to also allow a cart and several men. They narrow once you enter the city except for the main street ("caravans´ street") that divides the city almost in half, goes through the main square ("market square") and east gate into the continent. Most people you´ve found are humans. The city seems to lack the racial diversity you´re used for, except for the relatively abundance of half-orcs. I´ll post a map, if you need one to understand better the surrounding area.
