Multiple posters told you that it was said. The same was true of the announcement tweet. This is an "explicit rule" too.

Which page of those allowed sources contains the fix to the weapon juggling rules problem that got multiple "this will cause these problems" type reports during the playtest? The_twig even did multiple videos demonstrating it visually (one with a muppet!) because it's so absurd. Wotc mocked those concerns with the announcement tweet image. The GM comes off as hostile because players who start in AL tend to be extremely resistant to the very idea that the GM could be allowed to change the rules because of that box & wotc's refusal to support GM's in a host of issues dismissed under Oberoni results in that attitude having very much spread beyond those who started with AL to players who simply started with 5e. In this thread alone you made me go hunting for both the announcement tweet the crawford quote and still persisted with Oberoni the gm can fix it requiring me to dig up yet another source, but you've still not quoted even a single rule to support your support of it other than Oberoni despite being directly asked to do so multiple times. It doesn't matter what arguments the GM gives to why they need to nerf an obviously broken thing, the rules are a guarantee to too many.
