However..Superman Returns had a fan at the helm too and look how that turned out.

Each time a Superman film comes out, I become more and more convinced that "Superman" and "Superman II" were accidents. Happy accidents, to be sure, but still accidents. I'm not sure having a fan at the helm makes any difference for that one - it seems it's just all-but-impossible to make a good Superman film.

ST3 is a Klingon war. They've said so a few times.

Have they? I must have missed it. But then, I've not exactly been paying attention.

Personally, I think they should do "The Hunt for Red October". Though not necessarily right now.
