In this poll http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=136771 I asked the question which movie you were going to see and the results can be now be view.

Batman held the top spot with better than expected numbers, in what I thought would be more spread out in the new releases.

I like the list. I see Star Wars still holding on. I wonder if between War of the Worlds and Fantastic Four, if it's finished in America at least.

My own list, and I see very few movies...

1.Sin City
2.Kung Fu Hustle
3.SW: Revenge of the Sith
4.Land of the Dead

I have yet to see Madagascar, Interpeter and a few others but judging by how quickly movies are exiting the theaters, better get going. Nice time to go as it's hotter then heck now in Chicago.

I saw Batman Begins and thought it was a damn good movie. Of course, I haven't seen the others but I'd recommend BB to anyone with ten bucks in their pocket. It's lightyears better than any other Batman movie, better than Revenge of the Sith (imho, of course) and comes up just short of 1999's Fight Club.

because I feel like bragging

for me:

1. Star Wars - RotS
2. Serenity
3. Batman Begins
4. Constantine
5. Sin City

can't remember what else I saw this year, but if I can't remember it likely isn't worthy of the list.

I check this out, and they have Ep3 listed as having a budget of $113 mil. Now I realize that George funded it himself and it was made wholly in house, but still isn't that insanely low? It's less than Bats and a couple others and barely more than Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I think it is because Hollywood is pricing themselves out of the market, I think I heard the average cost of a movie last year was 125 million, this year it is 135. Look at the cost of Sin City, things just do not add up.

For me:

1. Batman Begins
2. Kung Fu Hustle
3. House of Flying Daggers
4. Kingdom of Heaven
5. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
6. Hitchhiker's Guide
7. Constantine
8. Hitch
9. Sin City

My list for the year.

1. Revenge of the Sith
2. Batman/Sin City/Kung Fu Hustle
3. House of Flying Daggers
4. Constantine

Yeah, yeah, I can't choose at the #2 spot...this has definitely been a great year for movies, and hopefully it'll keep delivering great films.

Oh yeah, I just figured it would have been more regardless what with every shoot have being an effects shot.

But I supposed my perceptions may simply be thrown off by the wacky inflation.

p.s. How much did Ep1&2 cost?

I just think Hollywood has more money to spend than anyone else, they just throw money at projects, sort of a self-feeding machine, money in, money out, to keep hollywood Hollywood, so wacky hollywood inflation.
