Guess everyone is holding out for this weekend and THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. Punisher: War Zone got no support $4 million on 2,700 screens at 2,508 theaters. It was the smallest opening ever for a Marvel Comics adaptation by far, even lower than Howard the Duck!

No major actors, not really pushed and an R rating. The movie overall is not bad, 7/10 gore fest.

Well I didn't see Punisher: War Zone, but I did see Howard the Duck in theaters, so I guess I contributed to that.

Those of us who were fans of HBO's Rome wish Ray Stevenson all the luck in the world but that's not going to get us out to see PunWZ, I guess. I'm sure his career will survive it.

Is this the worst top ten total in a long time?
